Signs of blood cancer you shouldn’t ignore

London-based Dr. Karan Raj’s latest video is shared in reaction to a different TikTok, in which the user claims that she was diagnosed with cancer after getting a small lump on her neck checked.

The doctor uses this as an example of a lack of awareness about the deadly disease. He quotes the data from a study on over 2500 UK adults, of which 54% weren’t aware of any of the symptoms of blood cancer.

He goes on to list different signs of the disease before revealing that 25% of respondents said they wouldn’t go to a doctor upon noticing the prolonged symptoms.

As the doctor points out, most of the symptoms of blood cancer overlap with other conditions, which may not be serious or life-threatening. A small percentage of the population gets diagnosed with the condition still.

Dr. Raj’s video is to bring more awareness to blood cancer and encourage people to get any prolonged symptoms checked by a medical professional.

He lists the following signs of Leukemia, but the doctor doesn’t offer medical advice. We recommend seeing a doctor upon noticing any symptoms or concerning changes in your body such as night sweats, tiredness, and unexpected weight loss.
