One man had his heart broken by an exotic dancer, and he is now suing her for $38.5 million, according to local Las Vegas television station KSNV.
The story starts back in 2014, when an Arkansas man, Fred Brunner, went to Las Vegas to unwind. Brunner was in the middle of a divorce and was looking to blow off some steam when he went to a gentleman’s club in Sin City.
During his visit to the club, Brunner met a dancer by the name of Melanie Sterling, and according to court documents she made “a significant amount of money” off of Brunner that evening. According to the lawsuit, Sterling kept up communication with Brunner following the visit, trying to create a fake relationship.
Over the next 10 years Brunner claims that he was led to believe that he and Sterling were in an exclusive relationship. Brunner alleges that Sterling accepted numerous trips, gifts, money and even a home that he purchased. The lawsuit claims that Sterling ended up in control of more than $3 million from Brunner.
But it seems as if Sterling was not as faithful as Brunner thought, as the lawsuit claims that she had a boyfriend who lived in Las Vegas who was receiving some of the money from Brunner.
Brunner is now suing Sterling for $38.5 million dollars. Shockingly, some on social media are not really buying the story.
The proposed $38.5 million payout is broken down into $3.5 million for restitution and $35 million in punitive damages.
