Exclusive: Everton are now ready to sell 'fantastic' player this summer after Amadou Onana

Everton could be set to see a major departure in the coming days as they continue to see changes made ahead of the new season.

Amadou Onana is in line to depart Everton with a five-year deal with Aston Villa lined up for the Belgian midfielder.

The Toffees are going to have to send some of the profits made to Onana’s former side Lille.

However, more exits could follow at Goodison Park as TBR Football understands that Everton believe that they will sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer – with interest high in the former England international.

Everton expecting to sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer

Calvert-Lewin has signaled his intent by rejecting the chance to extend his stay at Goodison Park in recent months and with just 12-months left on his current deal Everton are ready to sell.

Newcastle remain long-term admirers of Calvert-Lewin with Eddie Howe keen to bring him to the club. They tried for a deal prior to the PSR deadline but a deal involving Yankuba Minteh could not be agreed, but Newcastle remain keen.

TBR also understands that West Ham and Crystal Palace also hold a strong interest – we can also confirm that Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United have been assessing Calvert-Lewin’s situation this summer but no contact has been made.

Everton may already be eyeing Dominic Calvert-Lewin replacement

It has already been claimed this summer that the Toffees are one of the sides who have identified Chelsea’s Armando Broja as a target.

The 22-year-old striker remains largely unproven in the Premier League having only been able to return eight goals in his 66 appearances.

Although Calvert-Lewin has been hailed as ‘fantastic‘, his injury record has been a major concern for Everton over recent years.

With just 12 months left on his deal at Goodison, it has to be questioned whether Everton would see enough of a return out of Calvert-Lewin to warrant passing on the chance to cash in this summer.
