These Country Songs Are Featured on the New ‘Twisters’ Soundtrack [Listen]

The long-awaited Twisters movie will hit theaters on Friday, July 19. Along with the premiere of the film in theaters, the soundtrack will also be available on the same day. Country fans will be pleased to know, the track list is loaded with country artists from top to bottom.

What Is the Movie Twisters About?

Twisters is the follow-up to the 1996 film Twister starring Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton and Cary Elwes.. According to IMDB, the original film follows a group of storm chasers as they work to “create an advanced weather alert system” that puts them “in the cross-hairs of extremely violent tornados.”

In this sequel, “a retired tornado chaser and meteorologist” go to Oklahoma to “work with a new team and new technologies.” The film stars Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos.

Which Country Artists Are on the Twisters Soundtrack?

Over the last several weeks, various country artists have been sharing the songs they have contributed to the film’s soundtrack. Contrary to the first film that featured just two country artists — Shania Twain and Joe Diffie — this collection is almost entirely country.

Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, Miranda Lambert, Megan Moroney and Thomas Rhett have already released their offerings. In fact, Combs sent his song “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” to country radio. Others on the list are Bailey Zimmerman, Conner Smith, Tyler Childers, Tucker Wetmore and Tanner Adell.

When Will the Twisters Soundtrack be Released?

Although fans won’t be able to get their hands on the soundtrack before the movie arrives, they won’t have to wait until after either. Both the movie and the soundtrack will be released on the same day, July 19.
