Every shirt sponsor in LA Galaxy's history

By Braden Chalker

LA Galaxy have donned the same shirt sponsor despite being one of the Major League Soccer's original teams.

Yes, you read that correctly. Instead of having close to 10 different shirt sponsors in their 29-year history, the five-time MLS Cup champions have had the same sponsor on the front of their iconic white shirt -- but it's been displayed in three different ways ever since 2007.

Even in the Galaxy's 1996 inaugural season -- which was also the first-ever MLS season -- the team simply has 'Los Angeles Galaxy' on the front of their kits until the 2007 season.

Everything changed then, as David Beckham signed for the team and the Galaxy delved into the shirt sponsorship market with Herbalife.

Several years later, the Galaxy decided to switch things on their shirt regarding a sponsorship. However, they remained with Herbalife, but the front of the shirt read 'Herbalife Nutrition' instead of just Herbalife starting in 2016.

Many will probably associate the sponsorship with the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as it was just two years later that the legendary Swede rocked up to Los Angeles and immediately started banging in the goals.

Ahead of the 2024 season, the Galaxy decided to revert back to just 'Herbalife' on the front of their shirts but with a little more design for the logo.

Now, MLS fans across North America will see the likes of Riqui Puig and Joseph Paintsil scoring goals on top of goals in the team's iconic kit with Herbalife front and center.
