While we eagerly await Luke Bryan‘s decision to return to American Idol next season as a judge or not, we had some time with the country superstar to chat about his music.

Luke Bryan Reveals Fun Fact About His Kids + His Music

Bryan was a recent guest on Taste of Country Nights With Evan Paul, and the question at hand was if his kids listen to his music when they’re in the car with Bryan, or are they just over it?

Bryan and wife, Caroline, have two children together: Bo, who’s 16, and Tate, who’s 13. We all know that those ages can be particularly hard on a kid, coming into their own, but it must be a lot harder to do that when your dad is Luke Bryan.

The “Love You, Miss You, Mean It” singer said,

You know, they’ll get into my truck, and they’ll, ya know, Tate will be like, ‘Dad, put some of your stuff on.’

How does that make the uber-famous country star feel?

“When your children ask to hear your music, it’s pretty special.”

Bryan’s children sure have some decisions to make when they request a song of their dad’s. They have hundreds of songs to choose from in their dad’s library of music, including some mega-chart-topping hits, like, “Play It Again,” “That’s My Kinda Night,” and “Country Girl (Shake It for Me).”

It is such a sweet sentiment to have your own kids want to hear your own music as you drive down the street with them.

The real question that is yet to play out, is will Bryan’s kids listen to his music in their own cars when they’re driving alone down those same backroads.

Evan Paul is the host of Taste of Country Nights, a syndicated radio show heard on more than 130 country radio stations nationwide, every night from 7PM to midnight. He plays the best new country music and interviews today’s top stars, like Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Dan + Shay, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Lady A, + more!
