According to the Natural History Museum of London, the reticulated python is the longest snake in the world.

The snake, which is native to South Asia, can grow to be longer than 20 feet.

Zoo Atlanta, which has several reticulated pythons, noted the snakes “have a reputation for being aggressive.”

According to the zoo’s website, these snakes “may reach ages beyond 20 years. Sexual maturity is reached within two to four years but is dependent on size. Males breed once they’ve reached lengths of seven to nine feet, while females begin breeding once they attain a length of about 11 feet.”
