New York (AFP) - Walmart will lift starting pay for truckers to as much as $110,000 a year in the retail giant's latest move to recruit and retain logistics staff in the tight US labor market. The new salary level compares with current pay averaging $87,500 for first-year drivers and is roughly twice the average $56,491 annual pay for a long-haul driver, according to data cited by Walmart.
