Golden Globes Sold To Dick Clark Productions, Hollywood Foreign Press Association Shuts Down
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) sold their rights to the Golden Globes to Dick Clark Productions (DCP) and Eldridge. The properties, assets and rights were all included in the sale. This sale brings an end to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which is a nonprofit organization that donates money raised by the Golden Globes to entertainment-related charities. The funds that are left will create a new non-profit charity called the Golden Globe Foundation.
